HOTMAC Meeting Minutes Jan. 7, 2007

There were 20 members present

 

The meeting started at 7 pm.

 

Prospective new member Barry Rowe was introduced to the club.

 

The Dec. business meeting and treasurer’s report and Jan Board meeting minutes were read and approved.

 

Larry advised that all reports required by the Lease had been delivered to the City and the Corps, that the lease and the food service registration had been renewed and paid and water samples turned in. In addition, all the electrical upgrades have been completed and a report turned in to the Corps regarding completion of all inspection write-ups.

 

A motion was made to remove the Corps pipe fence at the north end of the runway after Corps approval. The motion passed.

 

Planning for the IMAA event continues. IMAA District VIII Director Gary Stephens has advised us to submit expenses for improvements made to support the June Rally. IMAA has committed $2000 to the event. The club agreed to waive the Rally landing fee of members of surrounding clubs if they agree to assist at the event. All 2007 sanctions have been sent in.

 

The Sertoma Club visited the field on Sat Jan 6^th in support of their planning of the April Kite Contest.

 

James Anderson has agreed to contribute up to $1500 to the new taxiway and sidewalk project in return for a HOTMAC Lifetime membership. A motion was made and passed to award the Lifetime membership.

 

Another load of dirt is needed east of the concession stand to disperse the water. A motion was made and passed to purchase the dirt and more rye grass to complete the project.

 

Barry Rowe was voted in to the club on a student membership. We welcome Barry to HOTMAC
