HOTMAC Meeting Minutes Feb. 5, 2007

There were 15 members present.

The meeting started at 7pm.

The Jan. Treasurer’s report meeting minutes and the Feb board meeting minutes were read and approved.

Larry reported that Parks and Recreation had approved the removal of the pipe fence at the north end of the field and was going to recommend the same to the Corps.

He also reported he has been in contact with IMAA regarding the Rally of Giants thru Gary Stephens from Keller and that Gary would forward the request for IMAA funding for the event. This funding will be in advance of the event and will offset some of the expense of the new concrete work. Gary will be visiting the field in the very near future. In order to open up the area north of the bleachers for pilot shelters the board recommended that the 70’ chain link fence oriented east & west be removed and stored. A motion was made and passed to do this prior to the AMAA Rally.

The club has received a $1450 gift from James Anderson towards the new concrete project. The club has in turn awarded James a Lifetime Associate membership.

Larry recently attended the Sertoma Club meeting and reported that plans for the kite contest are maturing. They want HOTMAC to fly during the flag raising, and demonstrate RC combat and aerobatics.

All sanctions for 2007 have been approved by AMA and the sign at the front gate will be updated.

Everyone is encouraged to help take down the car track before the kite contest. There will be a work day prior to April14th.

All members were reminded that Article IV 1. a. of the club Bylaws states that “annual dues per member are $75 and are due and payable on or before December 31 of the previous year. Failure to timely pay dues shall result in removal of members from the club’s roles”. Therefore, those in arrears after Dec 31^st of the previous year would have to be voted back in to the club per Article III 2. The initial membership fee (runway fee/paving fee) would not be charged to a returning member.

As of Feb. 1, 2007 there are 72 paid members.

The meeting adjourned at 7:40pm.
